My Story

I started becoming really interested in SFX makeup during my sophomore year of high school. My mom and I loved watching The Walking Dead and I stumbled across some SFX Youtubers which kickstarted my makeup journey. I've always loved art and have been a naturally artistic person so I began applying those skills to makeup. I am entirely self-taught and value my inventive thinking in terms of material creation. I started with items I had around the house like toilet paper and white glue to make fake skin and then eventually added in the purchase of professional SFX products. The images you see below are from my senior year of high school AP studio art class where I ended up taking home first place at the end of the year!
